TSA Naked Body Scanners and Pat-Downs

I am aware of and understand the flying public's uproar about having to go through the United States Transportation Security Administration's (TSA) naked body scanners that can see through clothing, or subject themselves to an invasive body pat-down if they want to board an airplane. Although a recent CBS poll found that 81% of the Americans polled favor the use of such security tactics, they could result in explosive situations since this is such a highly sensitive issue.

Many opposing such "intrusive" airline actions are calling for a boycott of the airlines, but in this Global business environment, it is unrealistic to expect that airlines could be shut down and businesses survive. Flying is a must, like it or not. However, it should be realized that movements start slowly and then pickup steam as more and more people get on the band wagon. Just look at how the political Tea Party started and then began rolling like an out of control train. Give this thing time and things will happen. Already, there are groups banding together to attack it. And, many people have already committed to not fly. Let's see what happens when law-suits pour in over the violations regarding unreasonable search and seizures (4th Amendment to  the United States Constitution).

NPR Under Fire After Canning Juan Williams

As reported by Fox News: "News analyst Juan Williams' firing from National Public Radio for comments he made about being nervous when flying alongside devout Muslims has sparked a public outcry that includes calls for investigations and a cut in public funding to the broadcaster."

Talk about "Political Correctness" gone wild, this is more proof that we in America are slowly losing our right to voice our opinions, known as free speech, and the country is fast being overtaken by the whims of Muslims, represented by CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations). I don't always agree with Juan Williams, but after working for NPR for more than ten years, his firing for expressing a personal feeling without even a chance to meet face to face with his NPR superiors is low-down, unfair, and cowardly.

I am so sick of this political correctness crap in America. Juan Williams is also a Fox News Analyst. A lot of people believe Fox News is strictly conservative, which is not entirely true. I believe Mr Williams is fair and if anything, I think he often leans more to the left, which should satisfy liberals. There is also an obvious double standard going on in America. How come people like Al Sharpton, Jessie Jackson, Black Panther leadership, NAACP, ACLU and the like are able to express their "feelings," but others cannot? There SHOULD BE ripple effects as one of my follerwers suggests.

Glenn Beck and his DC 'Truth, Honor' Rally

Let his critics criticize him, moan, complain and accuse all they want, but who is listening? I could care less if Glenn Beck is making some money from his business ideas and endeavors, what counts is he is finally someone who has made an effort to awaken the silent majority in this country and is successfully motivating them to act for decent values and ideals. Our country has been controlled by a highly vocal, complaining and selfish minority (black, white and others) for too long. It is time for more inspiring motivators, such as Glenn Beck and the likes of Sarah Palin to move the silent majority into action! It is time to clean house in our government ASAP and replace it with responsible representatives to do the job "for the people," not for the government. Thanks to Glenn Beck to get the ball rolling.

The following is a narrative taken from a 2008 Sunday morning televised "Meet The Press'. The author (Dale Lindsborg) is employed by the very liberal Washington Post!!

On Sunday's 07 Sept. 2008 11:48:04 EST, Televised "Meet the Press" THE THEN Senator Obama was asked about his stance on the American Flag.

General Bill Ginn' USAF (ret.) asked Obama to explain WHY he doesn't follow protocol when the National Anthem is played.

The General stated to Obama that according to the United States Code, Title 36, Chapter 10, Sec. 171...During rendition of the national anthem, when the flag is displayed, all present (except those in uniform) are expected to stand at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart. Or, at the very least, "Stand and Face It".

'Senator' Obama replied:
"As I've said about the flag pin, I don't want to be perceived as taking sides". "There are a lot of people in the world to whom the American flag is a symbol of oppression...” "The anthem itself conveys a war-like message. You know, the bombs bursting in air and all that sort of thing."

Obama continued: "The National Anthem should be 'swapped' for something less parochial and less bellicose. I like the song 'I'd Like To Teach the World To Sing'. If that were our anthem, then, I might salute it. In my opinion, we should consider reinventing our National Anthem as well as 'redesign' our Flag to better offer our enemies hope and love. It's my intention, if elected, to disarm America to the level of acceptance to our Middle East Brethren. If we, as a Nation of warring people, conduct ourselves like the nations of Islam, where peace prevails - - - perhaps a state or period of mutual accord could exist between our governments ."

“When I become President, I will seek a pact of agreement to end hostilities between those who have been at war or in a state of enmity, and a freedom from disquieting oppressive thoughts. We as a Nation, have placed upon the nations of Islam, an unfair injustice which is WHY my wife disrespects the Flag and she and I have attended several flag burning ceremonies in the past".

"Of course now, I have found myself about to become the President of the United States and I have put my hatred aside. I will use my power to bring CHANGE to this Nation, and offer the people a new path... My wife and I look forward to becoming our Country's First black Family. Reverse Stock Split

A reverse split occurs when a company reduces the number of outstanding shares, while at the same time proportionally increasing the value per share. (For example, 4 shares of XYZ trading at .50 a share become one share trading at $2.00 a share. If you had 100 shares of XYZ before the reverse split, you would have only 25 shares after the split.) In theory, there should be no reduction in the value of the security. Once the stock begins trading, however, the price is always subject to market fluctuation.

November 2 (mid-term elections) is to many in the USA the "Take out the trash day" !

I picked up the following information from an on-line source. I am posting it because I believe the issues mentioned are "hot button issues" and since the mid-term elections are quickly drawing near in the USA, the electorate should be informed of how their senators voted on these issues - I am assuming the information shown in the list is correct, so if anyone can prove likewise, please let me know.  I believe the title "Take out the trash day" is somewhat harsh, but it indicates the dissatifaction of many in the nation with the performance of the Democrats in government.

Arizona's New Immigration Law

There is much debate over Arizona's new immigration law (effective July 29).
Based on the national polls that I have seen as of mid-July, about 70% of the citizens of Arizona and roughly 60% of Americans in general approve of the new law. In light of the horrendous crimes that illegal immigrants are committing in Arizona, besides entering the country illegally, and the ineptness of the federal government to do its job of protecting the national borders, Arizona believes it must try to defend itself. It is thought that the "Will of the People" of the state must be exercised since the federal government seems to be playing politics with the issue. Is Global Domains International (GDI) a Scam or a Money Making Opportunity?

The internet is a billion dollar industry and you are interested in making some extra money on it, but you do not want to be involved in a scam.

You most likely want to know if the GDI WS opportunity is a scam. There are people who say you can't make money online, but don't listen to them. The truth is they have no idea what they are doing or fail to put sufficient effort in a program.

A company that has been around since 1999 is in no way a scam – as of this year, 2010, GDI has been in business for 11 years!!! How would they have lasted this long if they were doing something illegal?

GDI also accepts PayPal as payment method and will even send payments to your own PayPal account. With that, you can be absolutely sure that GDI is NOT a Scam since Paypal.com is very strict on the merchants they partner with.

Some people will always scream scam about anything if they do not understand it or believe they cannot make it work for themselves. Some were most likely part of the opportunity and failed. They gave up and chose not to point the finger at themselves, but instead they pointed it at the company. This is shame and not fair to the company. A company’s reputation can be hurt badly as a result. However, even though some people are negative about GDI, it is still standing strong.

GDI, as I mentioned in my article, below, is free to start. Ok, that may not sound too exciting to you but to me it is. Why? There's a lot of stuff online that require you to pay thousands to buy into - thousands of your hard earned money. Why not start something that's free to join, and only 10 bucks a month after that?

It's sad that some people call the GDI WS home business a scam. Most of these people will never blame themselves but point fingers at a great company because they cannot make it work for themselves. This company is not a scam and can make you money if you treat it like a business. It’s all up to you!

This stock continues to have a favorable buy recommendation on it.

OCLARO Inc Com (OCLR) is a company primarily involved in fiber optics communication networks. Some analysts are rating its performance at “Outstanding” with a Buy recommendation. It climbed in value from .40 to $2.90/share in one year (4/1/09 – 4/1/10) and since March 1 of this year, to the end of the month, it has climbed in value from $2 to $2.75/share.

PCBC: May 7, Even with huge financial problems and the fact that it sold off twice the last couple weeks – and in spite of the current market sell off - PCBC is back on the favorable stock list of some analysts and they are recommending buying it. It has climbed back up to more than the level where I first recommended it the last week of April.

PCBC: This morning, April 29, Pacific Cap Bancorp (PCBC) opened almost 50% down in value. Three days ago, April 26, I reported (below) that on April 25 profit takers sold off PCBC but it shortly rebounded more than $4/share and held until yesterday, April 28 allowing traders an opportunity to make further "fast plays". It was a good ride and traders made huge profits if they previously bought this company properly and sold by market close yesterday. Unfortunately, PCBC is plagued with finacial problems and now has lost its favorable recommendation status.

If you have been following PACIFIC CAP BANCORP NEW COM (PCBC), you would have seen profit takers selling it yesterday 4/25/10. It lost about a third of its value closing down at $3.47. A couple reasons prompted this sell off. The stock had climbed so high, so fast that traders wanted to take a profit while they could, and they where spooked by a report, "The case against buying small-cap stocks now" that was published on 4/23/10 speaking to the problems that plague PCBC. Despite this trader action and published opinion, the stock still has a favorable market analyst opinion on it. It is still rated as “Outperform” and has a recommended “Buy” on it. A stock like this is considered a speculative “fast play” opportunity. You would have made a huge profit if you had bought it last week and sold it yesterday. There still may be a chance to make more profit on it. The company is still set to report favorable earnings Thursday, 4/29/10. Although futures are pointing to a lower market opening this morning 4/27/10, early traders are buying PCBC - just before the open, the stock is up .11. Until the company reports its earnings, there still may be a chance to make a few bucks but you must watch the stock closely.

Violet, a 12 year old girl, played by Brooke Shields, was the daughter of Hattie, who was a prostitute at the well known elegant home of Madame Nell.
A photographer, Earnest J. Bellocq, visiting the brothel was fascinated by Violet’s beauty, youth and photogenic face and became fixated with her.
Madame Nell auctioned off Violet’s virginity and Violet’s mother, married and moved to St. Louise abandoning Violet in the brothel.
Bellocq, a much older man, married Violet to “save her from the world,” but his motives were questionable.
Brooke Shields was filmed totally nude in the original film, but later edited out.

Lawn Dogs is a 1997 British film filmed in Louisville and Danville, Kentucky and won many awards in Europe. The term “lawn dog” refers to someone who mows lawns. Trent Burns, played by Sam Rockwell, meets a lonely 10-year old girl, Devon Stockard, played by Mischa Barton. Devon lives in a suburban “gated community” in Louisville and is a member of a wealthy family, while Trent lives in a trailer in the woods. They become very good friends and involved in a very adventurous friendship. Trent is an older man, which causes townspeople to suspect him as a child molester, although he is not. The film is critical of so-called gated communities, which are seen as the roots of class hostility and suspicion, which is fuel for violence.
